Occupational Therapy is a service provided to children who need assistance with basic skills necessary for learning. A child's ability to learn is dependent upon his physical and mental abilities. By identifying a child's strengths and interests we can use activity, play, or adapting the students surroundings to improve independent functioning within the home and school environment.

Skills that may be focused on include:

  •
    • Gross and fine motor coordination
    • Organizing and utilizing materials appropriately
    • Eye hand coordination
    • Visual perceptual skill development
    • Sensory motor skills
    • Balance and postural skills
    • Self care skills within the academic environment
    • Prewriting and writing skill development
    • Behavioral concerns
    • Keyboarding skills
